Spring is such a wonderful season. It brings with it such hope, such promise of the good things to come. When spring rolls around we shake off the winter blues and begin to enjoy longer, warmer days that flow into cool evenings – perfect for outdoor dinner parties and al fresco dining. But have you ever considered that this – somewhat underrated season between winter and summer – could provide you with the ideal timing for your wedding celebration?
To inspire you we thought we’d share four beautiful spring wedding themes. We couldn’t help but get completely enraptured with the beautiful ideas for flower arrangements and table décor. Are you ready for some spring creativity?
Spring Wedding Themes to Inspire You
Spring Wedding Theme #1: Pretty Pastels
Whether you choose to dress your bridesmaids in flowing shades of Peach, Blossom Pink or Baby Blue or incorporate the theme in the flower arrangements, pastels make for a classic, understated wedding palette. Combined with a touch of gold or a few pearls, this slightly demure theme has the potential to rival the best of the more dramatic wedding themes.
Top tip: Combine a pastel colour palette with one slightly bolder accent colour for a polished look. Think soft shades of grey or slate combined with a watermelon pink.
Spring Wedding Theme #2: Bohemian Garden Party
A bohemian theme is incredibly versatile. Whether you choose for it to be rustic-chic, super glamorous or kitschy-cool, it can be adapted to suit your unique tastes. This theme is usually a combination of bright colours, a slightly ‘unorganised’ feel, shiny elements (think glass, crystal and mirrors) and random objects that are stylishly incorporated into the décor.
Top tip: Move the party to the garden for an even more whimsical touch.
Spring Wedding Theme #3: Green, Green and more Green
Green is the colour of new life – it’s lush and it’s inviting. It denotes health, growth, freshness and fertility… Combined with a little white (and perhaps a splash of gold for a tiny bit of drama) it’s the perfect colour palette for an elegant wedding where the focus is on a “less is more” approach. When using a lot of greenery, you likely won’t have to worry about your flower arrangements wilting too quickly!
Top tip: Don’t be scared to combine a wide variety of different green plants – bigger and smaller leaves, some with budding flowers on for extra texture.
Spring Wedding Theme #4: Glam
Want your spring wedding to have a touch of Hollywood glamour? Try using Mauve, Blush and grey or gold as your colour palette. Add a touch of crystal and few other sparkling bits (preferable diamonds, but for some of us that’s somewhat out of reach!) and voila… The understated elegance of your wedding will have your guests talking about it for a long time.
Top tip: Incorporate a few antique or heirloom items for some vintage flair old world charm.
Whichever theme you decide on for your own unique spring wedding celebration, Bona Dea’s eventing team will work tirelessly to make the picture you see in your mind a reality.
